If you’re reading this after a catastrophic event, start with Phase 0:

  1. Water Purification — you’ll die in 3 days without clean water
  2. Fire Making — warmth, cooking, tool making, everything depends on fire
  3. Emergency Shelter — protection from exposure
  4. First Aid — stop bleeding, prevent infection, save lives
  5. Foraging Edible Plants — finding food in the wild

Then keep going. Each phase builds on the last.
